#314331 SES-PCG: Successful Transitions, Putting It All Together, Virtual Professional Development Series
In partnership with the Alabama State Department of Education Special Education Services (ALSDE-SES), Public Consulting Group will facilitate three 90-minute virtual professional development sessions. In this three-part series, participants will explore a framework that supports the systematic structure and inter-agency collaboration to ensure that comprehensive transition programs are effectively implemented.
Learn to implement an effective transition framework by joining one or all three virtual sessions. Participants can earn a total of 4.5 hours by joining all three sessions or can earn 1.5 hours per session.

• Examine practices for working with culturally and linguistically diverse families.
• Understand how to develop relevant, compliant transition plans.

Participants will:
• Investigate components of a transition plan, including the six key components of an IEP.
• Discover and explore transition assessments.
• Identify community programs and postsecondary options.
• Learn how to access transition resources for students.
Transition Virtual Session 3: Creating Effective Transition Plans - PowerSchool Section Number 493225
April 10, 2024, from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. CT
Participants will:
• Understand how to write effective transition goals, address the three goals, and utilize transition assessments.
• Learn how the transition components align and work together to create an effective IEP.
• Determine how to select tools to collect data for transition planning effectively.
Participants will access the training sessions through a Zoom link provided prior to the training date.
